Dr. Hugh Windom is a distinguished physician and medical researcher who specializes in allergy and immunology. He founded and acts as Medical Director of Sarasota Clinical Research and the Food Allergy Center of Florida. Dr. Windom is a Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of South Florida in Tampa where he helps train young doctors going through their Allergy Fellowship program. He is also on the clinical faculty at the Florida State University medical school. Dr. Windom is a past board member of the American Academy of Allergy Asthma and Immunology and a past President of the Florida Allergy Asthma and Immunology Society.
Dr. Jennifer Fergeson is a board certified allergist and immunologist with a strong interest in food allergy. She also specializes in asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, hives/swelling, rhinitis, drug allergy, and eczema. She is a Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of South Florida (USF) College of Medicine where she supervises medical students, residents and allergy trainees in the Allergy Clinic at the James A. Haley Veterans Administration Hospital. During her Allergy/Immunology fellowship training at USF she participated in medical research as a sub-investigator for various studies. She is happy to be able to continue her involvement in medical research here at Sarasota Clinical Research.
Dr. Tara Saco joined Windom Allergy in 2019, bringing with her a unique focus on drug allergy and mast cell disease. She loves all things allergy/immunology, but it is the complex chemotherapy allergy or biologic drug reaction that is her specialty. She maintains her close ties to USF as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Allergy division, traveling to Tampa 1-2 times a month to teach medical students and allergists in training.
